The safety and well-being of everyone who uses HIRTA is always our priority. We are actively monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and are taking steps to help keep our communities safe.
- HIRTA is closely monitoring information from Iowa Department of Public Health to make sure our efforts in keeping those in our communities safe, are grounded in medical advice. If any rider or driver has been confirmed to have contracted or been exposed to COVID-19, we will be suspended them from service, and HIRTA staff will make every effort to notify anyone who would have been on the bus with them.
- HIRTA drivers have disinfectant wipes and cleaners to use to clean the inside of our vehicles. Supplies are limited however, we are doing our best, and will prioritize as we need.
- We ask all HIRTA customers to follow guidance from public health authorities.
